Ambassador Spotlight - Suzy Greenwood
We would like to recognize December's Tempe Chamber Ambassador of the Month, Suzy Greenwood with Arizona Tax Advisors, for her support and dedication to Tempe and the Tempe Chamber. Read below to learn a little bit about Suzy.
TCC: What type of business services or products do you provide?
Suzy: Arizona Tax Advisors is a locally owned and operated accounting firm specializing in Small Business and Individual accounting, tax and bookkeeping services. We truly care about the success of our clients and work diligently to minimize their tax liability and maximize their financial insight. We started this firm with the needs of our clients in mind. It was never just “about the numbers”, but about how we can help each client through services and education, achieve their dreams of financial success.
TCC: What are some exciting things happening in your business?
Suzy: MANY! First, we just moved into a new office in a lovely complex. We now have more than twice the room we had, and we need it because we are growing! The Tempe and surrounding communities have been both receptive and supportive…for that we feel very blessed. Much of our business growth has come from our membership and involvement in the Tempe Chamber of Commerce. We look forward to that relationship continuing this year. I am honored to Chair the Women in Business Council and to sit on the Tempe Chamber’s Board of Directors. It is an organization truly supporting businesses through connection, advocacy, and professional growth opportunities.
TCC: What is your background and how did you come to be in this business?
Suzy: I have over 30 years of business and management experience covering a variety of industries. The common thread through it all was a focus on exceptional customer service. I especially enjoy conflict resolution, creative problem-solving, and training. I have, of course, worked with daily operations and financial management throughout. I have always enjoyed learning, and in the accounting industry, ever-changing laws make that a constant. Researching the changes and sharing them through presentations is one of my favorite parts of the business!
TCC: What are your special interests?
Suzy: A very special interest for me at this time is the Women in Business Council. To see, in-depth, the quality and variety of opportunities and education provided by this group of creative and caring professional people sparks a passion in me. On a personal note, my family takes first place! I have a son, a daughter, four fur grandbabies, and a talented husband in the music business. I love to write…stories, articles, poetry, song lyrics. I am also an avid reader. Words are a precious gift. Whether writing them, reading them or speaking them in a presentation, I never take them for granted. My goal continues to be becoming a Master Presenter and a published author.
