The EVCCA Releases the 2018 Legislative Report Card
Each year, East Valley Chamber of Commerce Alliance produces a report on the legislative session, which lists bills that have the most significance to East Valley businesses. It reports how each East Valley legislator voted on legislation relevant to the EVCCA.
This year, the report shows that more than two-thirds of legislators in the East Valley support business efforts to grow the economy. Legislators were graded on how often they agreed with the EVCCA on priority bills, based on their last opportunity to vote on that bill during the Second Regular Session of the 53rd Legislature. An unexcused absence was graded as opposing the EVCCA’s position.
Founded in 1999, the EVCCA is Arizona’s largest chamber organization, representing more than 6,000 businesses in the East Valley. The Chambers from Apache Junction, Carefree, Cave Creek, Fountain Hills, Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek, Scottsdale, and Tempe form the alliance. The EVCCA is represented at the Arizona Capitol by Dorn Policy Group.
