WANTED: A few good men and women to join the Tempe Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee!
The Tempe Chamber of Commerce believes it is important to support the veterans of our Armed Forces. Internally, our Military Affairs Committee and on-staff ESGR Employer Outreach Coordinator work on behalf of our active duty military and veterans.
What is The MAC?
Since 1981, the MAC’s mission has been to facilitate a favorable and mutually rewarding relationship between the Tempe business community and various military units in the Valley.
How does The MAC function?
The Committee meets for an awards luncheon the second Wednesday of each month, September through June. At the luncheons, an outstanding military officer or enlisted person is recognized for their service and presented with an award. The Committee’s current members are outstanding men and women who possess a special respect and regard for those who are serving our country in the military.
Who can join?
All Chamber of Commerce members and the public are eligible for membership. Chamber membership and military service (past or present) are not required to join. Simply fill out the membership form and return it to a MAC member or the Chamber office.
Fees and dues:
A $100 (*) initial fee covers the cost of a MAC tie or scarf, polo shirt, and nametag. At the time of joining, quarterly dues of $75 (*) will also be charged (fee may be pro-rated based on join date). MAC dues pay for meals, TCC administrative costs and a contribution to a scholarship fund for the outstanding ASU ROTC students. You can pay with cash at the monthly meeting or by check. Please make the check payable to TCC –MAC. (*) subject to change.
